About us
Lorenzen Farms began in 1930 as a 105-acre farm in Chrisman, Illinois. Since then, the Lorenzen family has grown the operation to 5,665 acres, with a diversified grain and livestock operation.
The family’s passion for cattle began in 1966 with the purchase of their first registered Polled Hereford heifer. After years of showing and gaining experience, Lorenzen Farms began showing its own cattle in 1977. Today, the herd includes approximately 200 Hereford and Angus cows and 40 bred heifers, with a continued focus on pedigree, maternal value, performance, and quality.
The operation remains family-run, with multiple generations involved in the farming, cattle, and swine divisions.
